The Ghanaian Women's Courage Award is in honor of women in the Ghanaian community who have had the courage and the strength to overcome difficulties and to make a difference in the lives of others, their work lives and in their own lives.  The Award was founded by Anna Aidoo.  This is the first of its kind in the Ghanaian Canadian Community.     More Info ...

The 2005 Woman's Worth Conference continued to attract people from all walks of life, while providing inspiration and motivation for its attendees who were treated to a day of entertainment and educational seminars.  Several key speakers enthused their audience, delivering informative and encouraging presentations.     More Info ...

A Christmas Show

More than 300 people attended the show held in Mississauga which featured performances by various artists from the surrounding communities.  An uplifting way to end the year that featured fabulous entertainment from the Drum Theatre Togetherness of Toronto, renowned poets Nana Yeboah, and Karen Richardson of La Parole, Youth dance groups from the community and a rousing performance by TC3 a children's gospel performing group.  The Keynote speaker for the event was Joyce Templesmith Executive Director of Malton Neighbourhood Services.

Our History

Brampton was home to our black history month's celebration of achievements and possibilities. Poet Nicole Noel was featured along with a gospel dance ministry by Girls of Destiny, steel pan music by Panash, and heavenly gospel music by an amazing choir. Also included in the festivities were a fashion show and inspirational speakers such as Dr.Martin La Kumi and Garnett Manning (Brampton city councilor).

Join us next year as we "edutain" and have fun learning about different cultures.


2004 A Woman's Worth Conference

The Toronto Days Inn was the venue for the over 200 people who participated in the May 2004 conference which left them feeling energized and ready to tackle life's issues with renewed optimism and reach for the stars.

The conference objective was to inspire people who felt like they have forgotten who they are.  It is a time when you can reconnect to the gem that lies withing you.  There is much to learn and gain as topics such as Powerful Beyond Measure, Turning Your Scars Into Stars, What's Love Got To Do With it (Sexual Abuse) and many more all inform, invigorate and motivate.

If a revitalized you isn't enough, don't forget there are also prizes to be won.  Some of the prize winners went home with a trip to a Caribbean Island, gift backets, gift certificates and much more.  Don't miss your chance!
